Cloud
Today most of the resources we consume are served from the cloud and I prefer Microsoft Azure.
For many applications, such as Business Central, the SaaS approach is better, in other cases with a Windows or Linux Virtual Machine or with several Containers, you can do everything.
For me the Cloud is “simply” a server somewhere in the world, so I want to know in depth all the capabilites of the service provider.
Networking
To use efficiently the Cloud and above all, to integrate several software and platforms, the networking knowledge is fundamental. Starting from hardware layer until application layer, all the network stack is important.
Nowadays many integrations are made with web services, developing server and clients that use HTTP secured in some way. Security is the most important thing to protect enterprise data (VPN, strong authentication, encryption).
